Webflow vs Framer for a B2B startup
The short answer: if you need a polished marketing site live in a few weeks, mostly maintained by a designer, Framer is hard to beat. If the site is going to carry a lot of content, feed HubSpot, and be edited by a marketing team that grows past two or three people, Webflow is the safer long-term bet.
A quick disclosure before the detail: Shrink Studio is a Webflow Premium Partner. We also build in other tools, and we've tried to keep this fair to Framer, which has improved a lot in the last year. Prices and features below were checked on 27 October 2026.
How much do Webflow and Framer cost?
Both charge per site, and both changed their pricing in the past year.
At the entry level Framer is cheaper. Once you count CMS items, Webflow gives you far more room for the money: 20,000 items on Premium against 2,500 on Framer Pro.
Which has the better CMS for a content-heavy B2B site?
Webflow, mainly on scale. B2B sites tend to grow sideways: case studies, integrations, use cases, comparison pages, resources, team, events. Each is a collection, and each grows. Webflow supports up to 60 fields per collection, reference and multi-reference fields, and a mature Data API for syncing content from other systems.
Framer's CMS handles references and multi-references too, and its Server API (in open beta since February 2026) now lets you sync and publish from your own server. For a site with a blog and a handful of case studies, it's plenty.
Which is faster to design and build in?
Framer. It works like a design tool, so a designer can go from idea to live page without a handover. Framer 3.0, released in June 2026, added AI agents on the canvas, branching and MCP support for tools like Claude Code and Cursor.
Webflow asks for more structure up front: classes, components and a naming system. That's slower in week one and pays off in month twelve, when a marketer can build a new landing page from existing components without breaking the design. Webflow's interactions now run on GSAP, which became fully free in 2025, and React code components can be brought into the Designer for anything custom.
Which is better for SEO and AI search?
Both cover the basics well: clean URLs, meta controls, sitemaps, fast hosting. The differences are in structured data, which matters more now that AI assistants are answering buyer questions.
In practice, how a page is written and structured matters more than the platform. Both can produce pages an AI assistant is happy to quote.
Which is easier for a marketing team to edit?
For a small team, Framer's on-page editing and clear roles (admin, editor, content editor, viewer) are very approachable, and staging is included on Pro.
Webflow's Editor is just as easy for content changes, and it's built for a larger team working inside a fixed design system. Page branching and publishing workflows sit on the Team and Enterprise plans, so check which plan you'd need before comparing prices like for like.
Does it matter if we use HubSpot?
Yes, and this is one of the clearer differences. Webflow's native HubSpot app maps Webflow forms to HubSpot forms, so your forms look like your site and submissions land in HubSpot with their fields intact.
Framer embeds HubSpot's own form, which means styling happens in HubSpot. Native Framer forms send to email, Google Sheets or a webhook.
What about security reviews?
Both hold SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001, and both keep SSO and SCIM for Enterprise. Webflow also lists ISO 27017, 27018 and 42001 and PCI-DSS. If an enterprise buyer's security team is going to review your vendors, either will usually pass.
So which should a B2B startup choose?
Pick Framer if you're pre-seed or seed, the site is under 30 or so pages, a designer will own it, and speed to launch matters most.
Pick Webflow if you've raised, content is part of how you sell, HubSpot sits at the centre of your funnel, and several people will edit the site over the next two years.
Moving later is possible in both directions, but it's a rebuild rather than an export. If you're unsure which you'll need in a year, plan for the bigger version.

FAQs
Is Framer cheaper than Webflow?
Is Framer cheaper than Webflow?
At the entry level, yes. Framer Basic is $10 a month per site and Pro is $30, while Webflow Premium is $25 a month billed yearly or $39 monthly. Webflow Premium includes 20,000 CMS items against 2,500 on Framer Pro, so for a content-heavy site Webflow is usually the better value.
Is Framer good enough for a B2B SaaS website?
Is Framer good enough for a B2B SaaS website?
Yes, especially for an early-stage site a designer will own. It's quick to build in, staging is included on Pro, and Framer holds SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001 for security reviews. It gets tighter as the site grows into thousands of CMS items or a larger marketing team starts editing it.
Does Framer work with HubSpot?
Does Framer work with HubSpot?
Yes, through an embedded HubSpot form, which is styled inside HubSpot. Native Framer forms send submissions to email, Google Sheets or a webhook. Webflow's HubSpot app maps native Webflow forms to HubSpot forms instead, so they match the site's design and land in HubSpot with their fields intact.
Is Webflow or Framer better for AI search?
Is Webflow or Framer better for AI search?
Both can produce pages AI assistants are happy to quote, so how the pages are written matters more than the platform. Webflow's AEO agents can generate JSON-LD schema on Team and Enterprise plans, and Framer supports schema through custom code fed by CMS fields. Answer-first copy and a clear page structure do most of the work on either.
Can I move from Framer to Webflow later?
Can I move from Framer to Webflow later?
Yes, but plan for a rebuild rather than an export. CMS content can usually move across as CSV, while pages, components and interactions are rebuilt in the new tool. If you expect to outgrow Framer within a year, starting in Webflow is usually cheaper overall.
