Overview
nxzen is a new-generation technology and consulting partner for the energy, utilities and national infrastructure sectors, formed through the merger of Enzen Global and NNNCo. They needed a website that did more than present the business. Shrink built it to perform as a growth engine: every visit tracked, every lead attributed to its source, and the whole site manageable by their own team.
The Problem
nxzen launched with a strong new brand and a website that presented the company well but couldn't tell them how it was performing. There was no reliable way to see where traffic and leads came from. For a firm investing in growth, that means flying blind: no way to judge which channels or campaigns generate pipeline, and every change to the site meant going back to developers.
The Discovery
The principle was simple: tracking should be built in, not bolted on. Analytics added retroactively tends to be patchy and brittle. Designed into the foundation, it's clean and complete from the first visit. Two goals shaped the build: make the site measurable end to end, and give nxzen maximum autonomy to run it.
The Solution
Site-wide UTM capture, persisted across the session and passed into form submissions. GTM and GA4 configured and validated end to end, including form tracking. HubSpot integration with contact segmentation so every lead is categorised and traceable to its source. The result is a clean line from first touch to CRM record.
Underneath: a CMS-driven architecture with a modular component library so the nxzen team creates, edits and publishes pages without developers, on a hardened build with correct security headers.
The Results
Cleaner attribution: nxzen can see which channels and campaigns drive traffic. Leads traceable to source, all the way into HubSpot. Full autonomy: the team manages and grows the site without a developer queue.
Key Takeaway
A website should be a growth engine, not a brochure. For B2B companies investing in marketing, the difference comes down to attribution: knowing where traffic and leads come from so you can double down on what works. Build that in from the foundation and the data is clean from day one. Hand the team control and the site keeps improving without a dev queue.
